Dies sind Skripte oder Programme, die eine automatische Generierung des Dokumentes ermöglichen, ohne dass sich der Anwender um Dinge wie Bibliografieerstellung, Indexerstellung, Anzahl der LaTeX-Läufe, usw. kümmern muss.

Es existieren folgende Programme

Das Perl-Script ermittelt die Abhängigkeiten (eingeschlossene Bilder, Bibliografie), prüft den Status aller Dateien und führt dann genau die Schritte aus, welche notwendig sind, wie pdflatex (oder xelatex/lualatex/...), bibtex/biber, makeindex, makeglossara, ...

  * [[http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/support/latex-make|latex-make]] – provides several tools that aim to simplify the compilation of LaTeX documents
  * [[http://www.ctan.org/tex-archive/support/latex_maker|latex_maker]] A Ruby script that, in close collaboration with vpp (short for View and Print PostScript/PDF), is helpful in the cyclic process of editing, viewing, and printing a latex document.
